The Parody Puppet Princess Bride

Show Summary

👑 The Parody Puppet Princess Bride
Performance Dates: February 2 – March 16, 2024
(Sold out before opening. Extended. Sold that out too.)

As you wish...

The Parody Puppet Princess Bride was a once-in-a-lifetime smash hit—the biggest success in All Puppet Players history. Before we even opened, the show sold out. So we added more. That sold out too. We broke box office records, hearts, and probably a few stage pieces.

Not only was this our loving roast of the most beloved fairy tale of all time—it was also our first original musical. Written by Shaun Michael McNamara with music and lyrics by McNamara and the ridiculously talented Kurt Hunter, the show featured toe-tapping original songs that you can now stream on Spotify.

Audiences were treated to the full Princess Bride experience—puppet-style. True love’s kiss, sword fights, ROUSs, and a whole lot of deeply unqualified singing puppets. From Buttercup and Westley to Miracle Max and a rodent that may or may not be union-eligible, this show had it all.

We packed the production with:

Pop culture mayhem

Fourth wall breaks

Show-stopping musical numbers

Giant-sized heart

And enough puppet idiocy to keep you grinning even while “mostly dead.”

Whether you were a lifelong fan or a “Princess Bride” first-timer, you walked out humming, quoting, and wondering why all theater doesn’t involve puppets slapping each other with fish.

Performances ran:
February 2 – March 16, 2024
(Biggest. Hit. Ever.)

(Now go listen to the soundtrack. Seriously. Inconceivable not to.)
