Fifty Shades of Felt

Show Summary

🍆 Fifty Shades of Felt
Original Run: February 6 – 26, 2015
Final Bow: February 23, 2018
(Performed 4 times. Sold out almost every damn run.)

The Dirty Show That Paid the Rent!

She wasn’t classy.
She wasn’t safe.
But she kept the lights on and left the stage sticky with laughter (and possibly lube).

Fifty Shades of Felt was the most gloriously out-of-control show we ever staged—and we f***ing loved it for that. This was not high art. This was high-anxiety, sex-toy-slinging, elbow-on-elbow puppet carnage, performed for packed houses of shrieking, unhinged adults who 100% knew what they were getting into (and still gasped anyway). Born in sin with Nearly Naked Theatre. Resurrected in our new home. Taken on the road. And finally laid to rest—flaccid and fabulous—in 2018.

This bad girl got resurrected to pay the rent, the bar tab, or that blow-up dinosaur we swore we didn’t need but totally did.

Each run was:

Loaded with sex toy giveaways

Fueled by audience outbursts we couldn’t have scripted if we tried

And ended with puppets doing things no puppet union would ever condone

She wasn’t the prettiest show we ever made. But she was the most gonzo, and in the APP hall of fame, that’s pretty damn beautiful.

Performances ran:

February 6 – 26, 2015

Revived three more times

Final flaccid curtain call: February 23, 2018
(She came. She conquered. She collapsed.)
